Peter Megens is a Partner in the Melbourne office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques where he specialises in construction, dispute resolution, litigation, arbitration and mediation, energy and natural resources, infrastructure and project structuring and in particular international and domestic arbitration. He is currently actively involved in arbitration and mediation throughout Australia and internationally. He is a former National Councillor and Chapter Chairman of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia. He is also a director and Vice President of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration, a Chartered Arbitrator and a Graded Arbitrator. Peter is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Murdoch University. He is a Guest Lecturer in the Graduate Diploma in Construction Law and Masters in Construction Law course at the University of Melbourne and also in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Arbitration Diploma course. Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce, University of Melbourne, Bachelor of Law (First Class Honors), University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Diploma in Finance Law (University of Melbourne). Peter is a Fellow of IAMA, ACICA, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is active in various other bodies.
